HIRED.ae partnered with a well-known premium brand to support with the search and evaluation of candidates for a key corporate role.

Having hired extensively in a recent restructure and had many unsatisfactory processes where either the hire was the wrong fit, or the process had to start again, the company was concerned that they had been unable to find a way to objectively assess candidates on a level playing field, and too often interviews moved too close to hiring based on personality and personal bias than achievements.

When we stripped back the job description, we determined that the key attributes we would expect from the very best candidates, were those who could demonstrate experience coaching teams, building capability, evaluating data and influencing internal stakeholders,

HIRED.ae developed a bespoke behavioural and situational interview process, conducting interviews asynchronously via one-way video.

Conclusion: The benefits to our client were:

  • Being guided through what attiributes would really make a candidate successful in the role and designing an evaluation around those factors.
  • Having a 3rd party objectively assess the interviews helped management to avoid making early judgements as to the suitability of a candidate based solely on their CV.
  • The best candidates on paper struggled, the less obvious candidates became front-runners
  • The hiring panel at 2nd stage had all seen the video interview and built a firm foundation and structure of follow up questions so the 2nd interview was far more focused and effective.
  • They reached an outcome 3 weeks sooner than would have been the case for a traditional 2 stage process saving at least 20 hours in c-level time.
  • They had an evidence-based outcome supporting their Diversity & Inclusion agenda and Governance Audit.
